Training Camp
This program is customized to each individual dog. We deal with anything from puppy training and basic obedience to a myriad of behavioral issues. Training camp is a great option if you do not have the time to invest in a six week course, if your dog’s behavioral issues require a professional’s help, or if you want to accomplish training while you are away traveling. We have fenced outdoor play areas where the dogs play and train in small groups determined by compatibility. Dogs are always supervised when outdoors during play and training sessions.
The average Board Training day consists of private training sessions where your dog’s specific formal training needs are met. Training sessions are conducted at both the kennel and when a dog is ready, taken out on field trips in town. Additionally, your pup receives general training throughout the day where manners and appropriate behavior are reinforced. These general manners and behaviors always include but are not limited to waiting at doors, no jumping up, playing appropriately if possible, and no barking excessively.
As your dog’s training progresses, we train during play sessions to proof behavior with distractions. We also venture into our beautiful, local Neighborhood and proof real life distractions. We are conveniently located between Avondale Estates parks and Downtown Decatur.
The Board Training program is a 14 day or 21 day “Boot Camp” depending on your dogs’ individual training needs, dogs with behavioral issues need 21 days. The consultation will determine the length of stay needed. The program includes daily private lessons, overnight boarding, one private lesson scheduled at the Academy the day of departure, one private lesson in your home within 7-10 days to make sure your dog’s training flows smoothly from camp to home and any troubleshooting that arises after training. Our training package includes membership to the Unlimited classes, designed to help assist you with any training issues for the rest of your dogs life. All dogs completing the Board Training program are also welcome back thereafter to board. During their boarding stay, owners can request “refresher” training days if they choose at an additional fee. Board/Train program is $2500 for 14 days or $3500 for 21 days, cost of training equipment is additional. Jabula requires a consultation, either at the Academy ,over the phone or in-home, to discuss the best approach and goals for your dog. The consultation fee in your home is $85.
Day Camp - Nervous to send your pup off for two weeks? We offer a 3 week daycamp. Your pup comes and spends the day with us, but sleeps at home, Monday through Friday. At the end of each week, you get a private lesson to keep you and your pup on the right track when they are home. Upon completion of camp, you also have an in home follow up to trouble shoot any issues you may still be having at home. This package also includes the Unlimited Lifetime Class Program. The cost is $2,700
Puppies under 5 months old are eligible for Puppy Camp. Puppies are required to be up to date on their shots as appropriate for their age. Puppy camp is conducted in the trainer’s home. Each program is customized, based on your needs. Typically we cover basic obedience, potty training, crate training, mouthing and chewing and all other puppy related issues. When your puppy graduates from camp, the trainer will bring him/her home and make sure we get you on the right path for success in your home. The cost of puppy camp is $2,700 and includes the follow up training in home as well as our Unlimited group classes.
Jabula requires a consultation, either at the Academy ,over the phone or in-home, to discuss the best approach and goals for your dog. The consultation fee at the Academy is credited to the cost of camp, while the consultation in your home comes with a fee of $95.
We understand sending your dog to camp is an investment and a lifelong commitment. We are committed to you and your dog through the process. Should we feel your dog is not ready to go home as they are nearing the end of their training, we will keep your dog and communicate through the process. When your dog comes home, we will work with you to ensure success in home. Stay in communication with us through the process, you will not be charged any additional fees should your dog require extra follow through.
